Thanks for the link. Antiwar.com has been a favorite of mine since the Balkan War. They have a fantastic mix of articles from many different perspectives. This one is a gem.

My wife and I were talking last night, and I hate to say it…
But neither of us can understand why so many Americans seem so stupid and gullible about this “war on terror.” We are doing exactly what Bin Laden wanted us to do. Why can’t they see what so many of us clearly see… that the patriotic position is to stop attacking people. If they keep this up we’ll all go broke.

    Oh well…
Until then, we’ll keep doing our best each day.

  2. Michael Graham Richard Says:

I’ve read Antiwar.com fairly regularly between 2001-2004, but haven’t kept up much since then. Been too busy, I guess.

I found that particular link somewhere else — maybe reddit.

As for most people’s position, I think almost all of them are well-intentioned, just badly informed. The media and politicians are painting a certain portrait of the world and people react rationally within the internal logic of that fiction, which is why it’s so important for those who know what they are talking about to share their knowledge.

I have great hopes that the internet will help. We’re already getting better in many ways.
